Adjusting Check Alignment in Quickbooks

This article shows you how to adjust printing alignment for printing onto form paper such as checks.

When I print checks from QuickBooks, they're not lining up properly with the check paper.  How can I adjust this?

When printing checks from QuickBooks there are times when the alignment may be slightly off horizontally or vertically. There is a built in function in QuickBooks that well allow horizontal and vertical adjustment should it be needed. 
 

      

Use the steps below to correct an alignment issue. 

1. Launch QuickBooks and open the company file.
2. Select 'File.'
3. Select 'Printer Setup.'

   

4. Select 'Check/PayCheck.'



5. Select 'Align.'


 

Note: You will need to estimate the amount the text is off and adjust accordingly. The increments for the alignment are 1/100th of an inch for each increment.

6. Select 'Print Sample.'
