Error: The Database you are trying to acces has been locked by an administrator.

You receive the following error: Error: The Database you are trying to acces has been locked by an administrator.

This is actually a poorlyl labled error as we didn't lock your database. Usually it occurs when the database is closed in error, or the computer has lost power. It is farily easy to fix.

Within windows, Choose, start, run, ACTdiag, click on the databases menu, database list.

In the list that comes up, there is a table with the names of the databases attached to your machine. Also, a collumn marked Locked. Check and see if ther is one that is not marked UNLOCKED.

If so, right click your mouse on the row and choose unlock database

Close ACT diag and restart ACT
