If you find that you have contacts that are duplicated, Act! for Web has a method to combine them:
- Click on the Tools menu and select Scan for Duplicates.
- Select the fields that you want to use to determine if a contact is a duplicate (for most users this will
be Contact, Company, and Phone). Click OK.
- If any duplicates are found, click Yes to continue.
- Click Next.
- Select the first record to be merged, then hold the CTRL key and select the second record. Click Next.
- Select the source and target records and then click Next.
- Select any fields that you wish to copy and then click Next.
- Check/uncheck any additional items that you want to move to the destination contact and then
click Next.
- Specify whether to keep the source record or delete it, click Next, and then click Finish.
