Citrix App Shows Up On the Task Bar But the Window Is Not Visible
Symptom: A Citrix program icon is showing up on the task bar but you can't bring the program up.
Issue: You can see the program icon on the taskbar, but cannot access the program or maximize it. It's actually open, but it has moved off of the the screen
Source: This is usually caused when you disconnect from one computer (usually with multiple monitors) instead of logging off. When you logon and reconnect to your disconnected session, the second monitor is not there. Citrix still has your window placed on the missing monitor. That's why you can't get to it.
Solution:
- Use Alt + Tab to highlight and select the icon.
- Use Alt + Space to access the system menu.
- Keep holding Alt and press the letter X for Maximize. This will open the window on your main screen.
