Creating a Mapped Drive To Make It Easy To Go To a Specific Local Folder
If you need frequent access to local files and folders, you can make things much easier by creating a mapped drive. Once you do this, the mapped drive will show up under "This PC" in the File Explorer.
- Open the File Explorer on your local machine (not the one in on the server).
- Select This PC from the left pane. Then, on the Computer tab, select Map network drive.
- In the Drive list, select a drive letter. In the Folder box, type the path of the desired folder.
- Click Finish.
- Now open the File Explorer in your server Workspace. You can go directly to your new mapped
folder.
Please note: if you're only going to access local files infrequently, you can do this without creating the mapped drive. How?
