If you need frequent access to local files and folders, you can make things much easier by creating a mapped drive. Once you do this, the mapped drive will show up in the RDS File Explorer. Here's how:
- Open the File Explorer on your local machine.
- Select This PC from the left pane. Then, on the Computer tab, select Map network drive.
- In the Drive list, select a drive letter. In the Folder box, type the path of the desired folder.
- Click Finish.
- Now right-click on your RDS file and click on Edit.
- Click on the Local Resources tab.
- Click on the More button.
- Check the Drives option and then select which mapped drive you want to make available in your RDS File Explorer.
- Open the RDS file. Your new mapped drive will be listed in the File Explorer going forward.
