Setting Up QuoteWerks to Work With Your E-mail
When setting up Quotewerks to be able to send e-mails, there are two methods: Outlook and SMTP.
Open Quotewerks, click on the Tools menu, and select My Preferences.
Click on the E-Mail tab.
Enter the return-mail address that you want your customers to use.
If you have Outlook running under your Citrix account, you can go to the "Send E-mail using:"
drop-down field, chose Microsoft Outlook, and click OK. That's all it takes! When you send
an e-mail from within Quotewerks, an Outlook window will open and handle everything.
If you do not want to use Outlook with Quotewerks, you can the built-in e-mail client that
Quotewerks provides.
You will need the following settings from your e-mail provider:
- Your SMTP server name
- Your login name and password
- Your SMTP port
To verify that your settings are correct, go to https://office.com and sign on... if you're not able
to sign on, contact your e-mail provider.
Once you have your SMTP settings, go to the "Send E-mail using:" drop-down field, chose
"Quotewerks built-in E-mail (SMTP)", and click OK.
At this point, you can enter your SMTP settings and click OK.
Now, when you send an e-mail from within Quotewerks, the Quotewerks built-in e-mail client will
handle everything.
