Uploading a file from your local machine to Citrix


These are the steps to copy files from your local PC/Desktop into your Citrix Session (the "cloud").
For this example, the  "cloud" destination is called "Shared Q Drive (Q:)".  You will have a Q: drive, but it will 
have the name of your company + "Shared".  An example would be  "ACME Corporation Shared (Q:)".

1. From the Citrix Workspace open your "File Explorer" published app.   

2. Click on "This PC" in the File Explorer navigation pane.


3. The drives listed in the "Devices and Drives" section are your local PC drives.

     + LOCAL DISK (C: ON xxxxx) is the C: drive on your local machine.
     + REMOVABLE DISK (E: ON xxxxx) is the E: drive on your local machine.
     + And so on...

     Please note:  the drive called WINDOWS (C:) is NOT the same as your local PC drive!

4. To connect to your local machine's C: drive, double-click on LOCAL DISK (C: ON xxxxx).
5. You will now see the folders on your local machine's C: drive.
6. Navigate to the file you want to copy.


7. Right-Click the file and select "Copy".


8. Now we can move the file into the "cloud".  Double-click on
    "Shared Q Drive (Q:)" in the "Network locations" section.

9. You will now see the folders on your shared folder in the "cloud".

10. Select a folder, right-click on it, and select "Paste" to copy the file from your
      local machine into the "cloud".
