Resolving QuickBooks Pop-Up and Freezing Issues in a Hosted Environment

When using QuickBooks in a hosted environment, you might encounter issues where pop-up windows from QuickBooks appear behind the active window or outside the usable space, causing the program to "freeze" or become unresponsive. Typically, the only solution for this problem is to restart the hosted environment and reopen QuickBooks. However, you can take preventative steps to minimize the occurrence of unnecessary pop-up windows.

Follow these steps to reduce pop-ups:

1. Open QuickBooks and navigate to the Edit menu.

2. Select Preferences from the dropdown.

3. In the left-side panel, click on General.

4. Switch to the My Preferences tab.

5. Check the box next to "Turn off popup messages for products and services."

6. Click OK to save your changes.
